Founded by Logrus management, the Localization Professional community currently numbers over 10,000 members specializing in localization.
The group was formed in 2007 on the LinkedIn social networking site, its mission being to promote and maintain business communication and personal exchange of opinions and contacts. The group currently unites over 10,000 translators, editors, managers, and other localization professionals on a global scale, representing companies of all sizes and ranging from end clients to freelance experts. It is a leading translator community alongside the American Translator's Association and ProZ.
As a professional community, Localization Professional offers vast opportunities for developing a single business space in the field of translation services, making it possible both to form business ties with international experts and contribute actively to the optimization of localization processes, joint research efforts, exchange of opinions, private contracts, and business interactions.
The Localization Professional group has evolved into a full-fledged information platform for sharing ideas and experience, announcing upcoming conferences, discussing new technologies, and addressing current issues. Group members can pose translation theory and practice questions to leading experts.
Logrus is the first Russian company to have formed a translator community on this scale in a major contribution to the global localization industry. In doing so, the Logrus team has demonstrated industry leadership and welcomes colleagues to join the community for the common good of localization professionals worldwide.
